Hi-5 for Hygiene

Where: Accra, Ghana

When: July 18-25, 2015

Who: GOL and Progressive Excellence Youth Organization (PEYORG), a local Ghanaian nonprofit.

What: We set out to address the staggering youth deaths due to hygiene and sanitation-related diseases. Our team traveled to the schools in Elmina District to educate the students on best practices to avoid such unfortunate health
consequences.

Accomplishment: Our campaign expanded to each of the 6 schools where we were able to give out sanitation products for every child. Donations of hygiene kits consisted of toothbrushes, toothpastes, and hand soap were distributed to over 1,200 primary school students.
